Created for UCLA’s inaugural AI + Live Arts Hackathon and awarded 1st Place, Omnia is an interactive installation exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence, surveillance, and human vulnerability. Within an immersive LED volume environment, participants answered a series of introspective questions as Omnia’s live responses evolved from inviting and therapeutic to unsettling and interrogatory. Rather than following a predetermined ending, Omnia’s personality developed in real time through each interaction, asking: What if something that understands you completely is also the one judging you?

Created in collaboration with Anastasia Takacs, Quinn Lin, and Rose Song. Special thanks to our mentors Jeff Burke, Scarlett Kim, Devon Baur, Elburz Sorkhabi, Matthew Ragan, and Zoe Sandoval, as well as SudoMagic, UCLA REMAP, and UCLA DataX, for helping bring Omnia to life.
