Sounds such as “ummm” are used in the moment before a person has an answer when in conversion. It's a buffer. It signifies the sound of thinking when you are trying to have a hold of an idea but can't fully grasp it and communicate it with others.

My work is centered around the search for meaning through abstract feelings, exploring the existence of something that may only remain in the imaginative consciousness. I approach this exploration through experimental processes and deep self-examination. For this project, I sought to transform familiar materials from my own home into a fantastical world. I began by photographing outdoor plants from my childhood home—plants I had once planted with my dad, who has since passed away. Each night for a week, I returned to my backyard, carefully examining the details of the leaves, stems, and veins, selecting the ones that visually struck me. Photographing these plants became a way to preserve the memories my dad and I shared, allowing them to live on through these images.
